Emily and Dan’s beach engagement photoshoot on the Oregon Coast was an absolute blast! This couple was seriously amazing to hang out with. They were so fun and laid-back, which made the whole shoot a joy from start to finish. Let me tell you, the Oregon Coast is an incredibly beautiful spot for photos. With the waves crashing and the cliffs towering, we had the perfect backdrop for some truly romantic shots. It’s so cool that no matter where you’re from, you can take your engagement photos anywhere — and the best part? Your engagement session can be a completely different vibe than your elopement or wedding — it’s all about capturing your love in the moment!
Going Anywhere For Your Engagement Session
Although Emily and Dan are from Pennsylvania and now living in Washington, they had their beach engagement photoshoot on the Oregon Coast. This September, they’re eloping in Tuscany, Italy! How amazing is that? Their decision to have their engagement session in a different location than their elopement is a perfect example of how you can have two places that may be close to your heart, but have the same style. I love to offer these complimentary engagement sessions just for this purpose! Emily and Dan wanted a moody, romantic vibe, which is exactly my aesthetic! They also wanted to mix it up and have a different setting from their Italian countryside elopement. It’s amazing how much the setting can change the vibe of the photos.
Memorable Beach Engagement Photoshoot
The world can seem so small sometimes. I actually know Emily from almost 10 years ago. We met through an ex-boyfriend of mine — she was dating his brother at the time. But you know how it goes, we both moved on to bigger and better things. Over the years, she’d reach out to me periodically reminding me that she’d let me know when she got engaged — and guess what? She sure did! I was so happy when she asked me to shoot their beach engagement photoshoot, and I had a blast catching up with her after so long. During the photoshoot, we had a surprise sighting of some elk on the beach! Dan had never seen one in person before, so we stopped for a while to admire them and take some photos. There were so many memorable moments and this couple was amazing to work with as we traveled along the Oregon Coast. Next stop, Italy!
